Product samples help evaluate finish and perceived brightness, but a bench sample cannot reproduce the complete room. Controls trials should include low-end dimming, occupancy timeout, daylight response and emergency behavior with the intended devices. When those inputs are unavailable, Savant identifies the open assumption rather than presenting a provisional result as final.
